The research that I am performing here at Oak Ridge National Laboratory is about populations on the Electrical Grid.  I will be modeling the electrical substation that each customer receives their electrical output from therefore determining the critical subnetworks on the Electrical Grid. I will also be researching correction factor and creating a constant for each county in the U.S. to provide the number of customers per a population. The use of this will help during natural disasters, such as hurricanes, in order to predict the amount of population that will lose electricity to help FEMA predict the number of people that may need assistance and where they are located.  The customer number will help utility companies inorder to help prepare the number of repair crews needed inorder to restore power more efficiently.
