The ORNL Mentor-Protégé Program is a Department of Energy initiative that is designed to help small businesses enhance their capability to perform subcontracts for ORNL and other DOE laboratories and sites. 

Small businesses that provide services are eligible to participate in the program and must fall within these socioeconomic categories:  

  • Small Disadvantaged, 8(a)
  • Women-Owned
  • Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned 
  • Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) or other Minority Educational Institutions
